Graphic Novel -- tone

Graphic novels use a lot of dialogue inside dialogue bubbles, but they do not use dialogue tags because you know who is speaking based on whose mouth the bubble is attached to. Therefore, without a dialogue tag, the author cannot write that the person is speaking loudly or softly or anxiously or happily or angrily or intensely. The TONE of the characters' words are not written -- you have to infer this on your own. You should still be able to infer the tone of the dialogue, which is HOW the speaker is speaking based on not only the image, but also the context of the story.

Write about AT LEAST one example of tone in your graphic novel. How do you know this tone exists? In other words, how do you know what the speaker's emotion is when they are talking? BE SPECIFIC AND USE SPECIFIC EXAMPLES!!!!

Graphic Novel -- Image Inferencing

It is said that "A picture is worth a thousand words." Graphic novels often use less words than regular novels because they have pictures that help you fill in the words, so you have to infer what is happening from the pictures and dialogue. What is your graphic novel, what is it about, and how do the images help you tell the story. Give more than one specific example.

Conclusion

Did you like how your book ended? Why? Summarize the conclusion to your book. How did it end? Did your main character turn out to be a dynamic character, meaning they have changed since the beginning of the book, or are they a static character, meaning they did not change at all from the beginning of the book to the end? What makes them a dynamic or a static character? Be sure to use specific examples to support your answer.

Conflict

Summarize one of the main conflicts in your story. What led to the conflict? Why is this a main conflict of your book? Who is involved in the conflict? What is the conflict? Has it been resolved yet? If so, how? If not, why? Does your conflict relate to the time period setting of your book? Why or why not?
